Meet the Team

Who’s behind Czech Travellers?

Since 2015, we have been running the successful Czech travel site travelbible.cz. We’ve published 3 bestselling books on smart travelling, organised 2 Slow Travel Festivals, and regularly speak at events and in national media. There are three of us: Matouš, Petr and Pavla.

We want people to travel for longer, independently, and with open eyes, ears, and hearts.

Matouš Vinš

Matouš Vinš

An experienced traveller with 40+ countries visited, a digital nomad, photographer, and travel writer. He has spent more than two years in Thailand, exploring the country in depth — especially the north — by motorbike. He also travels actively with his family, including van trips across Europe.

He is also a marketer and public speaker.

Petr Novák

Every year, he “has to” visit at least one country he’s never been before. He gradually adapted his personal and professional life to travelling, and is the Travel Hacking person on our team.

He also creates functional websites, and runs madeirajourney.com.

Pavla Trávníčková

Originally from the Czech Republic, since 2017 she has spent most of her time in Central Java, Indonesia — far from the tourist crowds and close to local life. Along the way, she has experienced countless cultural differences and discovered hundreds of beautiful places that remain hidden.

She also runs backindo.com.
